Some observations using woolworths.com.au
- Barcode Scanning works – big tick!!!
- Products bought in other superm
- arkets will work (if Safeway stocks them also).
- Products bought overseas wont work.
- I found some mentos during the process, so I ate one.
- If i was to start again it would cost $546.24 (insurable value)
- I excluded toilets / bathrooms from this.
My List:
Over the holidays, one of my goals was to reorganise my shed, to move a lot of the boxes of books that were stored there back into the shelf, this has been done, but perhaps not as in an attractive way as
Video via AFI Research Collection.
I’ve been using goodreads.com for a while to keep track of my book inventory. Armed with a new scanner, I’ve been able to update my profile with a couple more books (now 398 books).
So comments about using goodreads in this way.
- Ajax Search Is good
- Database is not as intensive for textbooks
- No equivalent service for CDs and DVDs. Could perhaps look at Amazon
Some comments about my books:
- Project covered physical books only.
- Main Categories are Business, Physchology and Christian
- Sub Categories Sport, Travel, Music
Some comments about my process:
- For non scanned things (eg music chord books) and reports etc with no ISBN, I simply placed a green sticker on these and returned them to the bookshelf.
I have a lot of pages of junk. Do I just make more boxes and store boxes else where.
Obviously, there is a lot of information around that you could scan the document and dispose of the doc. But it would lend yourself more to the question of which documents you might like to keep.
ie a records policy / retention / ID of importance etc.
I am looking at my bookshelf with all the CDs I own on it. Some questions?
* Have i recorded all the CDs I own somewhere?
* Do I have ripped backups of all the CDS?
* If this list exists, is it backed up somehow? Either off site or paper/electronic versions?
